•SHUA wealth. (1.) A Canaanite whose daughter was married to Judah (1 Chronicles 2:3).
(2.) A daughter of Heber the Asherite (1 Chronicles 7:32).
•SHUAH prostration; a pit. (1.) One of Abraham’s sons by Keturah (Genesis 25:2; Chronicles 1:32). (2.) 1 Chronicles 4:11.
•SHUHITE a designation of Bildad (Job 2:11), probably because he was a descendant of Shuah.

•SHUNAMMITE a person of Shunem (1 Kings 1:3; 2 Kings 4:12). The Syr. and Arab. read “Sulamite.”
•SHUNEM two resting-places, a little village in the tribe of Issachar, to the north of Jezreel and south of Mount Gilboa (Joshua 19:18), where the Philistines encamped when they came against Saul (1 Samuel 28:4), and where Elisha was hospitably entertained by a rich woman of the place.
