But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

This is based on a real-life incident that happened 40 years back. John, a 12 year old enthusiastic football player showed equal interests in academics too. Searching for the best school reputed in academics and sports came to an end when he heard about a boarding school at his neighbouring state. With much efforts he convinced his parents who dropped him at the school hostel under the guidance of Pastor Renny, known through a few contacts. The Pastor was so kind and insisted John to call him up in case of any need or emergency. Nodding his head in the affirmative, John began to pursue his studies. He heaped many accolades in academics as well as from football tournaments. Slowly John began to get into drugs and ultimately reached a state wherein he couldn’t lead a normal life without drugs. He turned to be a drug-addict. He attended the church, spoke to the Pastor every week post – services and walked off. Of late, whenever the Pastor prayed for John in his personal prayers, something stopped him from going ahead with the prayer. He felt disturbed in his spirit. He tried calling up John who said is busy with one of his tournaments and hung up. A couple of days later, on one fine morning while Pas. Renny was having his cup of coffee, the Spirit of the Lord urged him to go and pay a visit to John at his hostel. Without a second thought he left home heading the hostel. While he was about to step into the reception, he was able to spot a commotion at the corner.

Overhearing conversations of a young boy at a critical stage due to over dosage of drugs, and that he is about to be taken to the rehabilitation centre, he walked to the corner and peeped in, with a thought to advice the young boy. To his astonishment, the young boy was none other than John. Pas. Renny was bewildered. It took a few moments to get back to his senses, soon without any hesitation he intervened and convinced the warden that he will take the entire responsibility of the young boy, for his parents would panic and wouldn’t be able to digest the fact of him being taken to the rehabilitation centre. After much discussions, and a series of paper-works, John was handed over to the care of Pas. Renny. They drove back without a word. It took some time, and John had to go through tough correction procedures. He lost his career, his dream-life was shattered, he couldn’t live by his ambition; for the drugs he took in began to show up adverse effects. He remained as a simple boy without a vision for the rest of his days. His parents were quite contented that he was at least alive.
