But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

A Pastor from a small village, the church arrived animated and motivated to carry out one more service at night, the hour passed and the people did not arrive.

After a 15-minute delay, three children entered, after 20 minutes two young people entered, so the Pastor decided to start the service with the five brothers.

As the service passed, a couple entered and sat in the last accents of the church.

When the Pastor was reading the Bible for the evening preaching, another half-dirty man came in with a rope in his hand.

Even disappointed without understanding the reason for the failure of the people, the Pastor led the lively service and preached with dedication and zeal.

When he was returning to the house he was assaulted and beaten by two thieves who carried his briefcase containing his Bible and other valuables.

While his wife was dressing the wounds at home, she described that day as:

  • The saddest day of your life
  • The most unsuccessful day of your ministry
  • The most unsuccessful day of your career

After five years, the Pastor decides to share this story for the church, when he finished telling the story, a couple of great reference in that congregation stops the Pastor and they say:  Pastor that couple of the story that sat in the background it was us.

We were on the verge of divorce due to various problems and disagreements that existed in our home, that night we finally decided on our wedding, but first we decided to enter a church and leave our alliances and then each one of us continued on our way, but we left the divorce later. From hearing the Pastor's appreciation that night, we are here today with home and family restored.

As soon as the couple spoke, one of the successful businessmen who helped to support that church, greeted him asking for an opportunity to speak and said: ′ ′ Pastor, I am that man who entered half dirty with a rope in his hand.

I was on the verge of bankruptcy, lost in drugs, my wife and children had left home because of my assaults. That night I attempted suicide, but the rope broke, when I was going to buy another rope, I saw the church open, I decided to go in really dirty with the rope in hand.

That night the message pierced my heart and I left here with the will to live, today I am drug free, my family returned home and I became the biggest businessman in town.

At the front door, the deacon who was doing the protocol shouted: Pastor, I was one of those thieves who assaulted the man, the other died that same night when we were conducting the second assault of the night. In the Pastor's folder I had a Bible, I spent it reading when I got up in the morning, then I decided to go to that church.

The pastor was shocked and began to cry along with the congregation, after all that night that he considered a night of failure, it was a very productive and blessed night ...

Lessons FROM HISTORY

  1. 1-Exercise your call with dedication and zeal regardless of the number of participants.
  2. 2-Give your best effort every day, because every day you are an instrument for someone's life.
  3. 3-In the worst days of your life you can still be a blessing in someone's life.
  4. 4-The day that you consider the most fruitless day of your life on earth, is actually the most productive day in the spiritual world.
  5. 5-God uses the bad circumstances of life to produce great triumphs.
  6. 6-Never say; today God did nothing, just because your eyes see nothing.

Think about that well. God is faithful.
