Isaiah 41: 15

The expectation of the Lord guides you when His eyes are fixed upon you

Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

When the expectation of the Lord is set upon you, it isn’t based on an earthly strength, rather, an eternal and everlasting strength that proceeds from God. That is why a Christian is able to surpass situations of all intensities. Many a times a child of God encounters failures is because of the fact that he delimits himself; the devil also insists the same, stating, “All your boundaries are compressed henceforth and this is how your life is gonna be encompassed with poverty, disease, afflictions and unending troubles”. But it is said about our Lord,
- “Thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.”
- “Thou hast set my feet on a wider ground and has made me walk in a greater expanse.”
- Moreover, the Lord had given a vast expanse of heart like the sand on the seashore to Solomon. Likewise, to the one led by the Lord, he bestows an expanse of heart like the sand on the seashore.
Diminishing thoughts and depriving thoughts source from the devil. Your salary or income might be meager, business demands might be low, opportunities in ministry might be scanty; but
- the one who fears the Lord and
- advances committing himself to the Lord,
- surrendering himself to the expectation of the Lord,
the Lord accomplishes all things through such that is meager, low and scanty.

In ministry, utilize in the right way, all that the Lord bestows upon you; for the Lord will bless, lift and honor you, bestowing the measure to be endowed upon you. Never decide your future in life and ministry, or your children’s future focusing on your present materialistic blessings / income / salary / family situations / crisis / debts / physical weakness. Nothing is more stupid that doing such and it is moreover detestable in the sight of the Lord. Such will push you away from the expectation of the Lord. The devil cites these and deceives many, for which many yield. As and when the need arises, the Lord will certainly provide. Just look up to the hands of the Lord, and He shall lead you wondrously.

What I had learnt in the presence of the Lord is that, when something is done this day, it has to be carried out such that there is room to build upon it the next day. Every effort in ministry has to be steps laid to climb up and advance further and not a huge wall to be laid high. The ladder Jacob saw in his dream had angels of the Lord climbing up and down it in the Lord’s presence. When you commit yourselves unto the Lord to lead you, the Lord shall make your life and ministry as a ladder for many to be led to the presence of the Lord. The Lord who stood on the top of Jacob’s ladder shall stand above the efforts of your life, that you might reach His presence step by step.

Try committing yourself to God’s expectation, divine will and His leading and you shall witness the Lord building up your life step by step that you may proclaim it to the generations to come. But remember not to forget the Lord who stands at the top of the ladder. The Lord who stood at the top of Jacob’s ladder shall lead you throughout this day. May He lead, bless and fulfill you step by step to reach the presence of the Lord, which is the gateway to heaven!
