But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

Isaiah 41: 15, 16

The True Revival

15. Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

What is “true revival”? The term “revival” is used in the Bible for the very first instance during the life of Moses, at the tabernacle of the Lord. “And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair” (Exodus 35: 26). Revival is given so that man has to accomplish something. Only the one who desires to accomplish something, comprehends the necessity of revival. The actions of God revives man’s spirit. It’s indeed the forerunner in miracles too. That is why, Jesus said to the paralytic man, “Arise, take your bed and walk”, and to the sick man at the pool of Bethesda also the same. Both the men hearkened to His words and brought forth a change in them.

When your heart is revived, it reflects in your actions too. Many people today tend to die due to lack of motivation. The fear of the existing pandemic increases the blood pressure and subsequently brings in suffocation and death. Man’s flutter in fear and lack of hope finds his way to the grave. On the other side, some live a dead life, with no assurance about their life. But a child of God or a servant of God must have a life of assurance and arising, which is indeed the strength. For the righteous are as bold as the lion; with a heart that is bold and never retreating, just like the lion. Ask God, “Lord, to turn me to a hero of revival, give me the assurance, boldness and hope. Lord give me the will power and mental firmness”. For Jesus is our unshakeable anchor of hope. Martin Luther once said, “Give me ten young men who fear nothing but only to sin, I will turn the world upside down”. The heart of a man of revival never fears, though a host should encamp against him or a war should rise against him. Is your heart fainted with fear at any instance? Nehemiah says, “Should such a man as I, flee? Or would he go into the temple to save his life?” to the prophet who foretold of the upcoming danger and advised him to be safe. But when it was time, it was known that the prophecy was bribed with money. Though a thousand men might prophecy, the heart of the man who runs for the Lord committed to revival never fears. Many a times, those whom you trust to be your firm support would rise their heel against you. But, let your eyes be fixed on the Lord and nothing can overcome you. As a piece of counsel, I would say,
- Know the heart’s desire of the Lord concerning you
- Know the expectation of the Lord upon you
- Know the way the Lord desires to lead you on
There is nothing else superior that these. Wait upon the Lord to know His way and never counsel with your flesh and blood. Place only the Lord before you and never your spouse/ children / relatives / supportive siblings in ministry. For it is the Lord who has to make a final decision concerning your life and ministry. Ask God the details of the His decision of the future concerning you. Yield yourselves to such a presence of the Lord and say, “Lord Speak, for thy servant hears”. He will speak to you, fulfil you, and strengthen you, binding with cords of joy.

When a person surrenders himself to the Lord’s plan and expectation, the world will be a place of torment. That is why the children of God always long to get rid of this world and live with Him. The longing of heroes of faith are, “When shall I be gathered to the presence of the Lord?” When you take efforts to live for the Lord, run for the Lord and strive for Him,
- All the world will torment you
- Situations of the world will torment you
But never be troubled or panicked, for the Lord will walk ahead of you. May He likewise go ahead of you and bless you with fulfillment!
